Finding New Paths: Ignite Imaginations’ Farewell Conference

As we approach the final chapter of Ignite Imaginations, it is with mixed emotions that we announce our last conference, Finding New Paths. Taking place in the heart of Sheffield, this forward-looking conference will mark the end of our journey while planting seeds for the wider creative community’s future. Set for 27th February, this day is dedicated to fostering resilience, entrepreneurial thinking, and innovation within the arts sector. It’s our way of saying goodbye while inspiring a new beginning.

A Day to Inspire Resilience and Reimagination

In challenging financial times, coupled with a shifting funding landscape, the arts sector is being called to rethink and reimagine its future. Finding New Paths will provide a platform for creative professionals, organisations, and cultural leaders to come together, share insights, and explore new ways of working. It’s an opportunity to embrace adaptability, sustainability, and bold thinking, equipping attendees with actionable strategies to not only survive but thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Whether you’re an independent artist, the leader of a cultural organisation, or a creative entrepreneur, this event is designed to inspire and empower you. Through collaborative discussions and practical workshops, we aim to spark meaningful change and encourage innovative solutions that can reshape the future of the arts.

What to Expect

The conference will feature thought-provoking sessions led by talented speakers who are well-versed in navigating the complexities of funding and the creative sector:

  • Linda Bloomfield of RivelinCo will set the stage by outlining the challenges facing cultural organisations and small charities in today’s climate.

  • Jodie Marshall from A Mind Apart and Mantle will guide us in exploring how we can harness the power of creativity to energise the day-to-day operations of our businesses.

  • Marina Larios of Inova Education & Training Ltd will lead a practical session on applying entrepreneurial thinking within charities and arts organisations.

The full agenda, packed with inspiring talks, interactive sessions, and networking opportunities, will be announced soon.

Why Attend?

This event isn’t just a conference—it’s a call to action. It’s a chance to connect with like-minded individuals, exchange ideas, and brainstorm innovative approaches that ensure the arts not only survive but flourish in new and exciting ways. And, most importantly, it’s a chance to come together as a community to celebrate the arts in Sheffield and bid farewell to Ignite Imaginations.

Let’s Celebrate and Say Goodbye

As the day winds down, we’ll gather for an opportunity to reflect, connect, and say our goodbyes to Ignite Imaginations. This moment will serve as both a celebration of our achievements and a hopeful look forward to the creative journeys yet to come.

The conference takes place on Thursday 27th February from 10am and is kindly supported by Sheffield City Council. For all event details and to book, please visit our Eventbrite page.

While the event is free to attend, we kindly ask for donations to support the lunch and refreshments provided. You can donate online at www.igniteimaginations.org.uk/support-us or in person on the day. Your support is greatly appreciated.
